A couple of my paintings ('Marlon Brando, Pocahontas' and 'Save Your Breath To Cool Your Porridge') featured on ITV's Home and Property programme on November 20th at 7.30pm, as a promotion for an exhibition that was run by New Blood Art in Chiswick.

In other news, I am now a selected artist for the East Midlands division of Art & Business, more news on this to follow.

Please check my website www.tristramaver.com for more updates and news.

The Observer Newspaper 15.06.08

I have been mentioned in The Observer Newspaper today (15.06.08), a small article promoting a gallery that represents me in London, and 'Moomea' is featured as the only painting. Hopefully that means something to someone it was named after!

May News and update

It is quickly becoming a very busy time at work in the gallery and we will be opening The Jerwood Photography Prize 2007 next week, but I have a bit of news to share whilst it is still fairly quiet.

The Observer Newspaper feature:

Originally due for print on Sun June 1st, the newbloodart feature will now be postponed until Sat June 14th, so keep an eye out in the business section as they are running an article on artists to invest in like myself (I will be a feature artist). It should be a similar feature to what appeared in The Financial Times last year for those who saw that...

Also my website is going to be launched next month (yey, finally!).

I also found this image;

Last year I was approached by Angel Row Gallery (now soon to be replaced by Nottingham Contemporary) to paint a map of Nottingham to coincide with the exhibition Shifting Ground'. It was intended for visitors to draw their own journey to the gallery from wherever they may have come from - after the show was deinstalled it was a big scribbley mess! I loved it, you should have seen what the kids got up to... this was the aftermath;

Lastly, some new works will be posted very soon, but I may save them for the website if I finish it all at the same time.

I hope you all had a great Bank Holiday, I know I did! (thanks guys).
